03/06/2019

On 14 June 2019, Roth Industries is hosting a "Training Day" in the Roth Atrium in Dautphetal-Buchenau. From 3 to 8 PM, the company will open its doors for an informational event about its innovative apprenticeship and training concept. Pupils, parents, teachers and other individuals interested in training are all welcome.

 Roth - Tag der Ausbildung
"On this day, we emphasize personal contact and will answer any questions from those who are interested in apprenticeships and training programs at our family company," explains Roth's director of human resources, Michael Donges. A variety of options are available. From professional training in eight industrial, technical or commercial professions, to internships and integrated degree programmes or advising bachelor's and master's theses in collaboration with universities, there are offers to match numerous career aspirations, according to the director of human resources. He emphasised that, "By getting to know one another during the training day, it might already be possible to tell whether the applicant and company are good fits for one another."

Company tours available
The event is especially focused on students from classes eight to twelve who are looking for an apprenticeship when they leave school. Managers from the Human Resources department, instructors and apprentices will be on site to provide advice on choosing the right career. They will answer any questions about education, training and working life and give valuable tips on job applications or review application documents. Visitors can participate in a company tour of Roth Werke at 4 PM and 6:30 PM. There is also a company tour at 6 PM on the premises of Roth Plastic Technology in Dautphetal-Wolfgruben which can be taken before or after the visit to the main offices in Buchenau. Every year, the family company offers approximately 25 training positions at Roth Composite Machinery in Steffenberg-Niedereisenhausen, Burgwald and Dautphetal-Daupthe, as well as at Roth Hydraulics in Biedenkopf-Eckelshausen, Roth Plastic Technology in Dauphetal-Wolfgruben and Roth Werke in Dautphetal-Buchenau. The trainee quota of around ten percent is significantly higher than the national average. If their performance is good, trainees can participate in a program abroad, allowing them to work in a Roth company in another country for a period of three to four weeks. The retention rate for employment after training is currently more than 90 percent.

Personal contact is highly valued
The Roth family company values personal contact and individual support of its trainees. To underscore this commitment, Roth is inviting trainees who start this summer along with their parents to an introductory meeting on 15 June 2019 in Dautphetal-Buchenau. A breakfast in a casual atmosphere provides an opportunity to get to know the training programme better. The head of human resources and trainers responsible for the programme will introduce themselves and answer questions or converse with attendees. Michael Donges says, "Getting to know our trainees and their parents early on is very important to us. Personal contact establishes trust, which is an important building block for solid and successful collaboration during the training period and beyond."
