Active environmental protection is anchored in our corporate principles. When developing, manufacturing and using our products, we attach great importance to conserving resources in harmony with nature.
The fundamental environmental policy statements of the Roth Industries Group are also part of Roth Hydraulics' corporate philosophy.
Our responsibility towards our environment obliges us to ensure that we go beyond the legal requirements to protect the environment. In doing so, we help to significantly reduceCO2emissions.
We are aware of our shared responsibility towards the economy and society in everything we do. By establishing, implementing and certifying an environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, we are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance.
DIN EN ISO 14001 is an international environmental management standard that defines globally recognized requirements for an environmental management system with the aim of promoting environmental protection and the prevention of environmental pollution.
The standard focuses on a continuous improvement process. To fulfill this standard, strict requirements are set to develop an effective environmental management system. This includes the identification of operational environmental aspects, the definition of an operational environmental policy and the creation of environmental objectives in an environmental program.
In order to continuously improve our environmental protection activities and ensure compliance with the environmental regulations relevant to us, we are guided by the objectives of the environmental policy.
The corporate principles are detailed in the environmental policy.
The environmental policy is at the heart of our day-to-day operations.
In view of the scale of the challenges in climate protection, it is extremely important for Roth to assume social responsibility.
Roth is pursuing the goal of reducingCO2emissions as much as possible at the site. From 2016, we will be manufacturing and producing at the site using 100% certified green electricity. This will enable us to save around 550 tons ofCO2 emissions every year.
An important instrument of our environmental management system is the systematic recording and evaluation of all environmental aspects of activities, facilities and services that have an impact on the environment. Once the environmental aspects have been identified, they are evaluated. The recording and assessment is compiled separately for all departments and areas of the company and expanded annually. In addition, a comprehensive assessment is carried out for the entire company and the assessment is fixed.
No facilities requiring approval under the BImSchG are operated at the site. All plants operated in accordance with water legislation, generally VAwS plants, are reported to the authorities. Electricity, heating oil and fuel gas are used as energy sources at the site.
